China was the first province where tea first came in existence. Since then, tea has been referred as elixir of life by Chinese people. They believed that tea is best in the teapots which are made efficiently so that it could keep tea at the optimum temperature. It should hold tea neither too hot nor too cold. Traditional Chinese pots made of clay and lack any kind of polish. This clay is special Yixing type, which Chinese believe can absorb any kind of toxic or contamination present in tea or water while boiling. Over the time, this clay pot wear out and develop a glassy or oily finish on internal sides because of continuous boiling of tea leaves. These Yixing clay pots have collectors across the world and are favorites of many.

The teapots are much smaller and cups are shallow than normal English tea sets. The tray is made up of bamboo sticks which hold the entire set. The Chinese believe that tea bring health, wealth, luck and prosperity to the drinker. So, most of the traditional Chinese tea sets have a Buddhist Monk on the lid of kettle or tea pot who is said to bring happiness to all.
If you are an admirer of green tea, then Chinese pots are just the right choice for you as the clay used in making the pot keeps the antioxidant properties of tea intact. From a design point of view, you can see the most refined and complicated art form engraved on these Chinese pots from calligraphy to sculpting. You can find these tea pots in various animal sizes as well. These set include a teapot, tray, cups, tea kit which contains digger, sieve, needle, shuffle, tongs, vase and a brush to wipe the dropped liquid.
One should be careful to not to clean the tea pots with soap or detergent. It should be rubbed gently with a cotton wipe or fabric.
